So excited~

Today, it's a memorable day for me. Even the rain falls to celebrate with me besides tempering for the damn hot weather. I have worked hard for two sem, about one year time, suspended my one month long holiday, 8 credit hours final year project, also known as thesis, has finally come out in a blue-ish cover book. I'm so so so so so so so....X100000000000 excited and happy. Unexplainable and indescribable joy and delight. Whenever i look at the blue book or think about it, i would whisper to myself, "woohoo, finally done." and giggling to myself; in the room, in the car, while walking, and at Oldtown too. And su hwa said, "tonight you need not have to sleep, and even you slept you would laugh out loudly in the midle of the night." Maybe it could happen. Who knows? Caution to my roomate, don't get too frighten about my action(if it happens) during the night. And i felt so so so tired, cos' i slept at 5 in the morning the day before and the day after i waked up early in the morning. One advice to all, don't sleep "early" and wake up early too for continuous days. Or maybe i'm too old to have such habit already. *sigh while shake head-ing*

Ok, i think i should stop and go to sleep gao gao tonight.

Excited!!!

Milk is a guy or girl?

Well, just one response for the guess guess guess...

It's time to review the answer: milk in French is called le lait, so it's masculine. Don't ask me why? Ask those French language creator.

Standing a whole night in front of Pavilion for the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music Launch. Feel so tired now, bonne nuit.

A brand new sem

New semester of my hope-to-be final year. In the beginning, everything goes not really good, Prof. suddenly said cannot change time, thesis analysing short of time, poor laptop has to format, get sick and blah blah blah... but hopefully things start getting better now. At least, Prof. helps us to solve the time table and he decide to sacrifice his lunch time to give lecture. So touched. *bak sai lau* If not, for sure i've to extend one more semester, and i will cry out loudly that time.

This semester, i continue my french study to level II. And Shee Ying wants me to ask this question here, what is the gender of milk? Guess guess guess....

Miracle?

Before getting into December, we had found Prof. and told him our situation. We hope that Prof. will allow to change the time. But he seems like didn't let us change the time that has clashed with another subject. And i felt very disappointed, trying to accept the truth that we have to choose the subject with lab on my wonderful Friday, where 2 credit hours but we have to attend 6 hours' class. And give up my french level II that has clashed with it.

Thinking that Prof. won't let us change the time of the clashing subject.

In the end, he has agreed to change the time. I'm so grateful, he is so kind, although he looks very cool..

Although, the time hasn't change officially, but i'm so excited, cos' i can take French while no need to attend any class on Friday plus no need to do reports which i hate so much.

Miracle happens...
Thank Prof., thank coursemates, thank God too...

Will miracle happens twice?
Wondering....

crapping "holiday"

Just wanna crap about my study week....
Okies, the moment my study week starts, we have to dissect the rats we fed and injected and took out their organs to preserve...
Then one day rest...
Keep going on with changing the fixative into 70% alcohol and then followed by outing to kl and Jogoya...have a nice dine-in there...
Then one more day rest again, a little bit of study and blogging...
Going on our dehydration steps and it takes a whole evening....

Her "sweetheart" lunch box and soup with her sweet lovely smile....specially delivered by Mr. ah than to the lab...aiyo, how sweet is it...

Envy me looking at her food *dripping saliva*
Next day, continue with embedding step.....
Yeah, going to Genting just to relax and cooling down cos' too hot at the valley... don't know what's going on there, lots of people here and there, and i dislike too crowded....
Coming down from highland.... walaoe~ super duper hot here....
Okies, it's time to study....

Guess who is he?

So i call it as my holiday rather than study week. Buddies, good luck for your exam...

online or study?

Although my final is around the corner, but i still have no mood to study. Can't concentrate on study either. Guess what i'm doing in stead of studying? I'm so hardworking online-ing and reading blogs rather than hardworking for study. It seems like i'm having exam about blogs. LOL. If i keep online-ing, i'll be non-stop blogging, facebook-ing and playing games. So the most important thing is to cut out my line from stopping me online-ing to studying.
And today i've found out that my lan cable is not functioning when i wanna online and i don't know what happen to it. I've checked those port, the cable... and everything seems to be ok. It suddenly breaks like this and i have no idea with it. Is this the providence from God?

Finally, the most busiest week in this semester had over. Thank god it's over. Although my study week is started, but i still have to busy with my thesis lab. And the most saddest thing is the rats we bought from the pet shop which we had so susah payah picked the male rats but it's all ended up female. How am i going to write my thesis where my title is about the testicle while i didn't get any result of it. Anyone can help me? Where can i get male rat? I want baby and adult rats as well. I want Sprague dawley. Anyone please? *sob sob*

nightmare of thesis

This afternoon, i went back to UM to do my thesis's lab, where we have to inject those rats with nicotine treatment. We weighed the rats, and calculated the volume that we needed to be injected to the rat according to their weight. So i took a syringe and pumped the nicotine into the syringe and started the injection. Just after it, so i quickly took up the cap and covered the syringe needle tip back cos' it is dangerous to let the needle to be exposed. When i pushed the cap back, the needle bended and poke through it and straight away punctured my hand. I thought it would be alright as i wore double pieces of hand gloves. So i took out the gloves to check for safety. It was a tiny little hole on my ring finger, and i was still thinking it would be ok. Just a few seconds later, the wound started to bleed. *sigh* So i had to go to take injection at clinic but now i still not yet did it. Just sooner or later. Hope it would be fine. Long time i didn't take injection, a bit afraid of it.

The next thing that scared me was i discovered a snake on a corner of the roof of the animal house which we kept our rats and mices there. That creature was not small, i suddenly felt so afraid and gooseflesh too. I hate "cold-blooded" animals like snake, frog and so forth. And snake can sting. wtf. The animal house was a nightmare to me. I just wonder why i choose the title which have to deal with animals. Hope i can quickly finish it so that i no need to be there again. Wish me lucks~

I hate "road" rats...

I apologize for those disgusted photos, but this will be the last one ( i hope so). This past tuesday, we had to dissect rats for our practical, but this time it were rats which caught in the drains, in houses, markets, rubbish sites and so forth. We had to collect the ectoparasites and endoparasites as well for observation whether they bring disease or not. They were dirty, smelly, and gelinya. We nearly wanted to vomit although we had masked ourselves. The smell really boleh pengsan!

After doing it, i'm very blissful that my research is used experimental white rats, at least they look cleaner and not that smelly. Salute to my two coursemates who doing with those so called "road" rats.

trip to UKM for rat dissection

On the same day of the visit to mini farm, we had to rush to UKM to do our rat dissection at 2 in the noon which actually we were not wish to go. After finished the practical which ended at 1 noon, we quickly rushed back to our lab to take our needed tool, grabbed a sandwich from the cafe and drove the way to UKM. Letihnya....

Before we started our work,
shee ying tried to act cute

happy-go-lucky wei mee with her dissecting set

pretty huey chyi and wei mee again

me , holding a forcep on my hand actually

don't play play with this girl, or not she will pinch you with the forceps on her hand....*evil grin*

Let's the photos do the talking:

this were those followed-straightly-with-instruction's workpiece

this was do-according-situation's workpiece

what happen?

no eyes see.........
They just like tore off the clothes(skin and organs which beside the tray) of the rat while leaving the head(brain) and backbone(spinal cord).

finished lo, packing and preparing for dinner.... not sure was due to too much of energy being used up during dissection, or we ate too little for our lunch....

After the dissection at UKM, we decided to have kajang satay as our dinner, as wei mee hadn't have it before. Actually i was not familiar with the route from UKM to kajang, but after turning a big round, we still get ourselves there. But traffic jammed on the way because it was time for malays to buka puasa.

too hungry d..... my wai sek look had been captured.... -.-\\\ I think it looked like a roasted chicken, my roomate said it's rat. *sweat* What do you think?

Tok Janggut~

Finally, i have time to update the tok janngut. These few weeks i was damn busy with thesis la, lab la, presentation la and so forth.... Those stuffs really took my breath away. Okies, so last thursday, our practical was going to the mini farm which near 12th college there in UM. Actually it is more like a farm of different species of goats with those smelly goat odor(the smell is actually emitted from their excreted product). Anyway, it was a great experience visiting the farm, and those goats were very cute, tame and friendly. They seems like welcomed us when we walked towards the farm, mie here and there, sounds like saying hi to us.

This is the duck-mouth-like apparatus which used for artificial insemination. It is inserted into the female goat's vagina and the tiny tube in the middle of the apparatus which contained with sperms is injected into the uterus of the female goat. When the postgraduate was demonstarted on a female goat, and it yelled like hell. We couldn't do anything while feeling sympathy to it.

The practical was mostly about biotechnological technique which dealing with reproductive technology. The lecturer and the postgraduates were showing us the technique of artificial insemination, sperm collection, sperm count, blood sampling and so forth. Everyone of us had the chance to take the blood sample of the goat, it was interesting and it was easier to deal with goat rather than rat. I thought the goat would struggle strongly just like those small creatures when the syringe was inserted into the vein, but it was out of my expectation, they were just let you poked tamely.

The stuff there is showing us the artificial vagina

1st step: Inject some cold water into it, so that the temperature is mimicked to the temperature of the vagina of female goat.

2nd step: Close up the opening to avoid the water from leaking out. Tighten the artificial vagina using the black pump(the arrow point there) so that it is similar to the actual vagina of the female goat.

3 step: Apply some lubricant gel at the opening of vagina to smoothen the surface.

4 step: Put the artificial vagina to the penis of the male goat which is 'on heat' and tadaa..., the semen collection is done.

The postgraduate was demonstrated the technique of collecting the fish sperms from the still alive-ing Tilapia.

Below were the photos i took from the farm..... and pictures spoke a thousand words....I took it when we were listening to the lecturer explained about the artificial semination....and this whitish goat seems like wanna join us too....They were kinda "ba gua"(curious about something).

This lamb was curious about our visiting until it stepped up its mother 's body to find out what happened outside.....

small little sheep turned back to let me captured its pity face~

animal dissection

If you are nausea with those geli picture below, i would advise you to skip reading this title. Your co-operation are kindly appreciated.

I dissect rat. And i'm going to do my final year project with rats too, which i have to feed these cute little creatures for about two months, then have to dissect them after that. I've to be cruel to them which i don't wish to do that but i'm forced to do so.

Last Thursday, i had to dissect a frog in the practical. I never dissect a frog before, and i dislike "cold-blooded" animals. I thought i faced my phobia and handled it well. But i was wrong, i was afraid with frog. This little creature really shocked me when it started to awake. I thought i won't like the other group which had done it before who screamed like hell, but again, i was totally wrong, I screamed for my life and pulled my hand away when it started to move.

Really feel sorry to it, cos' i didn't do well in the experiment. I destroyed its heart which leading to my failure of experiment as the heart had stopped pumping. Anyway, it was a special experience for my life so far. Last but not least, frog is really geli........
